COWBOY HAT PATTERN

MATERIALS: 1 sheet 12x18 cardstock for pattern.

                                     1 per student 12x18 construction paper

                                     1 per student sentence strip

DIRECTIONS: Fold the cardstock in half then print and paste a copy of this pattern onto the cardstock. 
Cut out the pattern and use it to trace the hat outline onto pieces of construction paper.  Have students cut
out the hat and draw on the hatband as shown on the pattern.  Decorate the hatband (you could use a
repeating pattern). Attach the hat to the center of a sentence strip, then fit the sentence strip to each
student’s head and tape the ends together.
